Darien/New Caanan Probate Judge

Francisco Cardona and Mike Nedder are facing off to become the newest Probate Judge for Darien and New Canaan.

Judges of the Connecticut Probate Courts are the only judges in the state to be chosen in partisan elections. They serve four-year terms that begin on the Wednesday after the first Monday in January following their election. At the end of their terms, judges must compete in contested re-elections if they wish to retain their seats

Note: Nedder is a Republican on the ballot as a petitioning candidate (Row E).

Michael T. Nedder is the managing partner of Nedder & Associates, which he founded in 2011 after practicing law for 12 years in New Canaan, Connecticut.

Throughout his career, Attorney Nedder has been an active volunteer and community member, providing pro bono work and serving on the boards of various public and private charitable organizations. He is a proud husband, father, and Darien resident, where he lives with his wife, Jane, and their three children.
